AMANDA VAN DE KERCKHOVE APPOINTED COORDINATOR OF CRF’s DAIRY RESEARCH TEAM

The Research Committee of Cooperative Research Farms has appointed Amanda Van De Kerckhove, Federated Co-operatives Limited, as Coordinator of the Dairy Research Team for a two-year term.  CRF’s Research Teams are “self-contained” groups responsible for planning, conducting, and communicating research which has the highest probability of providing financial returns to CRF members. Amanda replaces Andre Roy, Dairy Nutritionist with Sollio Agriculture, who had served as the Coordinator of the Dairy Research Team over the past two years.

Amanda received her B.S.A .in Animal & Poultry Science (with Distinction) in 2007 and her Master of Science in Ruminant Nutrition in 2010, both from the University of Saskatchewan. She joined Co-op Feeds in 2010 as a Ruminant Nutritionist and is responsible for product development, ration formulation, and knowledge transfer, focusing on dairy, beef, and equine. Amanda also provides technical support for producers and the sales force.

Since joining Federated Co-operatives, Amanda has been a very active participant in CRF. She is currently chair of the CRF Research Committee and is also an active member of CRF’s Beef Research Team, and Equine & Specialty Research Team.

CRF is a multi-national organization of feed manufacturers in North America and Europe. For 68 years, CRF members have worked together conducting thousands of nutrition and management related research trials for the benefit of their customers.  The members of CRF include Federated Co-operatives, Ltd., Saskatoon, Saskatchewan; Kalmbach Feeds, Inc., Upper Sandusky, Ohio; MiXscience, Bruz, France; Sollio Agriculture, Montreal, Quebec; and Tennessee Farmers Cooperative, LaVergne, Tennessee.  The combined scope of the CRF membership represents 13 million metric tons of final feed equivalents, 45-member owned feed mills manufacturing feeds of the highest quality, more than 1,600 employees working to provide superior animal nutrition products and 93 highly skilled individuals employed in research, development, and technical support.
